This own-initiative report concerns workers' representation on the supervisory or administrative bodies of undertakings in Europe. The amendments debate strengthening economic democracy versus avoiding regulatory burden on competitiveness, note that participation exists in 18 Member States and Norway while few listed companies guarantee board-level worker representation, invoke subsidiarity and national competence, and stress gender-balanced representation of women on supervisory boards alongside digitisation.
