Summary

Own-initiative report on democracy at work and a European framework for employees' participation rights, including revision of the European Works Council Directive. The amendments stress workers' information, consultation and participation, social dialogue and collective bargaining, trade union rights and employee representation on boards, European Works Councils, a framework directive, and the involvement of workers in business due diligence within the European Social Model.
