Implementation of the Treaty provisions concerning national parliaments

This own-initiative report concerns implementation of the Treaty provisions concerning national parliaments. The amendments address the common commercial policy and the EU's exclusive competence in trade, the involvement of national and regional parliaments in ratifying trade and mixed agreements, parliamentary access to information and scrutiny of governments, transparency of trade negotiations, subsidiarity and the early warning system, interparliamentary cooperation and a proposed European Week, and the democratic legitimacy of the Union.
