Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): UJAZDOWSKI Kazimierz Michał (ECR)
Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the role of cities in the institutional framework of the Union. Amendments note that cities lack a formal role apart from representation in the Committee of the Regions, and call for greater involvement of local and regional authorities through multi-level governance, discussing the Urban Agenda for the EU, cohesion and regional policy, a 'one-stop shop' for cities, territorial impact assessment and the energy transition.
