Summary
An own-initiative report on optimising the value chain in the EU fishing sector. Amendments address fishermen's incomes and fuel costs, small-scale, artisanal and coastal fishing, the outermost regions under Article 349 TFEU, the impact of supermarkets and market concentration, the common organisation of the markets, labelling and traceability, first-sale prices, producer organisations, fisheries local action groups and inter-branch organisations.
