Summary
This report concerns the state of play of recreational fisheries in the European Union. The amendments call for clearer definitions distinguishing recreational, semi-subsistence, semi-commercial and commercial fishing, reliable data collection and time series, and address recreational fisheries' impact on fish stocks and ecosystems, bycatch, plastic debris, the Common Fisheries Policy and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
