Summary
This own-initiative report addresses violation of the rights of indigenous peoples in the world, including land grabbing. The amendments cite international human rights covenants, the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Cotonou Agreement and the Paris Agreement, stress indigenous peoples' rights to ancestral lands, resources and free, prior and informed consent, and the violence and discrimination faced by indigenous communities and human rights defenders.
