Summary
This own-initiative dossier concerns lagging regions in the EU. The amendments discuss cohesion policy and the European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund and Cohesion Fund, the Commission report identifying 47 lagging regions in eight Member States, distinctions between low-growth and low-income regions, shortfalls in public and private investment and infrastructure, depopulation through departures of young and skilled people, the European Semester, and migratory pressure in some regions.
