Return Directive
The dossier is a recast Return Directive on common standards and procedures for returning irregularly staying third-country nationals. Amendments insert deletions and a rejection of the Commission proposal, and revise provisions on cooperation between authorities and third-country nationals, identity verification, the right to an effective remedy, time limits and detention, and on a humane, rights-based return policy.
