Summary
Own-initiative report on the situation of fundamental rights in the European Union in 2017. Amendments condemn the rise of far-right movements and call on Member States to sanction hate crimes and hate speech, draw up action plans against racism, xenophobia and discrimination, address online hate speech and anonymity on social media, and protect minorities, women, immigrants and LGBTI people, including in housing.
