2019/2158(INI)·9th term·ITRE / PECH·INI - Own-initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): VAN DALEN Peter (EPP)
Summary

The dossier concerns the impact on the fishing sector of offshore windfarms and other renewable energy systems. The amendments recall the EU's climate-neutrality commitment for 2050 under the European Green Deal and renewable energy targets, debate accelerating offshore wind toward 450 GW by 2050 across the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Atlantic and Mediterranean, nuclear versus renewable energy, conflicts with fisheries, floating turbines, and offshore wind for hydrogen.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
