Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): GADE Søren (Renew)
Summary

This own-initiative report concerns securing the objectives of the landing obligation under Article 15 of the Common Fisheries Policy. Amendments discuss discards and unwanted catches in mixed fisheries, the choke-species problem, the high-grading ban, exemptions, the loss of reliable discard data and scientific advice, economic losses for fishermen, the phase-in over 2015-2019 of landing and quota-deduction requirements, and conflicts with social legislation such as Directive 2017/159 implementing ILO C188.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
