Towards a WTO-compatible EU carbon border adjustment mechanism
The dossier is an own-initiative report towards a WTO-compatible EU carbon border adjustment mechanism. Amendments revise recitals and paragraphs invoking GATT/WTO rules, the European Green Deal, the EU ETS free-allocation system, the Paris Agreement and climate neutrality, and debate carbon leakage, EU industrial competitiveness, carbon pricing of imports and the polluter-pays principle.
