Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): AMERIKS Andris (S&D)
Summary

The dossier concerns recognition of professional qualifications in inland navigation, with transitional measures for recognition of third-country certificates. Amendments address the procedure and conditions under Directive (EU) 2017/2397 for recognising certificates, service record books and logbooks issued by third countries, consistency with transitional measures for Member State certificates, legal clarity for inland waterway transport companies and workers, and the derogation where inland waterway navigation is not technically possible.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
