Revision of the EU Emissions Trading System
This dossier concerns a revision of the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). The amendments add recitals on the Paris Agreement and the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage, propose earmarking ETS revenues for climate action and support to developing and Least Developed Countries, define "damage" and "losses", and adjust rules on allowances, maritime emissions and the treatment of greenhouse gases removed from the atmosphere.
