Summary

This dossier reviews implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy and future perspectives. The amendments cite Commission communications on a Fisheries and Oceans Pact, STECF reports and prior resolutions, and stress balancing the three pillars of sustainability and the social dimension of the CFP, conservation of marine resources and maximum sustainable yield, food security, selective fishing gear, and a fair standard of living for fishing communities.
