2021/2186(INI)·9th term·LIBE / PETI·INI - Own-initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): LÓPEZ AGUILAR Juan Fernando (S&D)
Summary

This own-initiative report addresses the situation of fundamental rights in the European Union in 2020 and 2021. Amendments express concern over discrimination, non-discrimination under the Charter of Fundamental Rights, minorities and LGBTI/LGBTIQ persons, women's rights and gender equality, rule of law, media freedom and judicial independence (citing Hungary and Poland), and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and misinformation on rights such as freedom of movement and expression.

25 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
