Summary

An own-initiative report on the control of European funds in Lebanon. The amendments describe Lebanon's economic and monetary crisis, its hosting of Syrian refugees, the Beirut port explosion, and pervasive corruption, call for EU taxpayers' money to be used efficiently and lawfully, address the role of the Lebanese army and disarmament of militias, UNIFIL, the May 2022 parliamentary elections and the EU election observation mission.
