Summary

A budgetary file mobilising the European Union Solidarity Fund to assist Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg, Spain and Greece following 2021 natural disasters. The amendments highlight the increasing frequency of disasters and climate change, strain on the merged Solidarity and Emergency Aid Reserve including from the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, regret that the amount is lower than needed, and call for revising the EUSF Regulation.
