Summary

The dossier concerns the role of Cohesion Policy in addressing multidimensional environmental challenges in the Mediterranean basin. Amendments revise citations and recitals on climate change and warming of the basin, sea-level rise, overfishing, marine litter and plastic and hydrocarbon pollution from maritime transport and industry, water scarcity, maritime spatial planning, the Barcelona Convention and the Paris Agreement, cohesion policy and climate spending, and transnational cooperation and macro-regional strategies.
