Summary

This is an own-initiative report on EU Rapid Deployment Capacity, EU Battlegroups and Article 44 TEU. The amendments cite the European Peace Facility, the Strategic Compass for Security and Defence, the Civilian CSDP Compact, NATO's Response Force and Madrid Summit Declaration, EU-NATO cooperation, the EU's experience deploying multinational missions abroad, dependence on third-party missions, and lessons from the Sahel region.
