EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles
Own-initiative report on the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. Amendments address labour rights, working conditions and the predominance of women in the textile, garment, leather and footwear value chain, environmental impacts including greenhouse gas emissions, chemical pollution and textile waste, imports from third countries, recycling, separate textile collection, due diligence, producer responsibility and the 'polluter pays' principle, and the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
