Summary

A regulation on a unitary supplementary protection certificate for plant protection products. The amendments address the gap between patent filing and marketing authorisation, conditions for granting a unitary certificate based on a basic patent, avoidance of overprotection and multiple certificates, the role of the Office, national patent offices and examination panels, third-party observations, appeals before Boards of Appeal, fees, and invalidity before the Unified Patent Court.
