Summary

This dossier concerns a directive on European cross-border associations (ECBAs). The amendments address removing barriers to non-profit associations' activities across Member States, freedom of establishment and free movement of services and capital, the non-profit purpose and use of profits, the cross-border element, respect for the values in Article 2 TEU, treatment of churches and religious organisations, a register, verification of founders' identities to prevent fraud, public funding, and dissolution.
