Summary

This dossier is the annual report 2023 on the Banking Union. The amendments discuss the Single Supervisory Mechanism, the Single Resolution Mechanism and the proposed European deposit insurance scheme (EDIS), the backstop for the Single Resolution Fund, the crisis management and deposit insurance framework, 'too-big-to-fail' institutions and the sovereign-bank nexus, fragmentation and competitiveness of the EU banking sector, crypto-asset and environmental risks, and sanctions against Russia.
