Alignment with the EU economic governance framework and further simplification of that framework

A legislative procedure on alignment with the EU economic governance framework and further simplification of that framework. The amendments strengthen the European Parliament's role in the economic dialogue with the Council and Commission, expand transparency and information-sharing on fiscal surveillance, adjust rules on Draft Budgetary Plans, independent fiscal bodies and their forecasts, and revise provisions on Commission investigations of misrepresentations and the distribution of fines.
