2025/2780(RSP)·RSP·Official procedure file ↗

Resolution on a topical subject.

Summary

In this non-legislative resolution, Parliament addresses the declaration of principles for a gender-equal society annexed to the Commission communication of 7 March 2025 entitled 'A Roadmap for Women's Rights'. It reaffirms its commitment to women's rights and gender equality, welcomes the Commission communication as a good basis for the upcoming gender equality strategy, and endorses the principles included in the annexed declaration. Parliament calls on the Commission to take due account of Parliament's position, to be expressed in its upcoming resolution on the gender equality strategy 2025, when developing the new post-2025 strategy, and instructs its President to forward the resolution to the Commission.
