Summary
The dossier concerns cross-border cooperation to combat terrorism and cross-border crime, implementing the Prüm framework, on a German initiative. Amendments revise provisions on definitions and procedures for automated searching and comparison of DNA profiles, dactyloscopic (fingerprint) data and vehicle registration data, joint task forces, requests regarding innocent persons, powers of seconded officers, and on examination of future proposals following the Treaty of Lisbon.
