Implementation of the European security strategy and the common security and defence policy

This own-initiative report concerns implementation of the European Security Strategy and the common security and defence policy. The amendments debate the key threats identified in the strategy such as proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, cyber-security, energy security and climate change, the relationship between civil and military means, coordination with NATO and the United Nations, energy security, a Defence White Paper, and the Lisbon Treaty provisions on the High Representative and crisis management.
