Summary
An own-initiative report on the impact of the financial crisis on the defence sector in EU Member States. Amendments address defence budget cuts and their effect on military capabilities, the Common Security and Defence Policy, cooperation with NATO and reliance on the United States, the 2% of GDP spending target, the European Defence Agency, and pooling and burden-sharing among Member States.
