Summary
The dossier concerns reform of the common fisheries policy (CFP). The amendments address sustainable fishing at Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY), dependence on imports from developing countries, opposition to Transferable Fishing Concessions and privatisation of marine resources, Sustainable Fisheries Agreements and UNCLOS provisions, regionalisation, Regional Advisory Councils, and the CFP's coherence with development and environment policies.
