Summary
Report on Court of Auditors Special report 1/2012 (2011 discharge) on the effectiveness of EU development aid for food security in sub-Saharan Africa. Amendments welcome the Court's conclusion that the aid is mostly effective while deploring shortcomings in coordinating European Development Fund resources and persistent malnutrition, and call for a structured assessment of food security, a dedicated trust fund, and addressing the whole food chain from farm to fork.
