International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT): management, conservation and control measures applicable in the Convention Area
This procedure concerns International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) management, conservation and control measures applicable in the Convention Area. The amendments address the Common Fisheries Policy and Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013, delegated and implementing acts to incorporate future ICCAT recommendations, definitions of recreational fishing, fish-aggregating devices and longlines, prohibitions on retaining certain sharks such as porbeagle, releasing marlin, seabird, sea turtle and bycatch handling, scientific observer coverage, Member State reporting to the Commission and ICCAT Secretariat, allocation of fishing opportunities using transparent criteria, and Union financial support for these obligations.
