EP Rules of Procedure: general revision

This procedure, "EP Rules of Procedure: general revision", amends Parliament's own internal Rules of Procedure. The tabled amendments rework the duties of the President in chairing sittings, the Bureau's role in adopting the preliminary draft estimates and establishment plan on a report by the Secretary-General, the conciliation procedure with the committee responsible for budgetary issues, and the minimum of 25 Members to form a political group. Several amendments delete rules, including on ordinary Treaty revision and on breach by a Member State of fundamental principles, and require questions to be submitted electronically.
