A statute for European cross-border associations and non-profit organisations
This legislative-initiative report proposes a statute for European cross-border associations and non-profit organisations. Amendments revise recitals on the role of associations and NPOs in representing civil society, democracy and the internal market, the absence of a harmonised pan-European framework, and the impact of the COVID-19 crisis, and call for a new legal form of European Association with rules on establishment, governance and accountability.
