Summary

The dossier is the Banking Union annual report 2021. Amendments revise the citations and recitals, addressing the Single Supervisory Mechanism and Single Resolution Mechanism, the still-missing European Deposit Insurance Scheme, the backstop for the Single Resolution Fund, the Deposit Guarantee Schemes Directive, the Capital Markets Union, non-performing loans, consumer and investor protection, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the banking sector.
