Summary

Recast legislation on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe. Amendments revise the limit, target, alert and information thresholds and attainment dates for pollutants including PM2.5, PM10, NO2, sulphur dioxide, ozone, arsenic and cadmium, and adjust the Average Exposure Indicator (AEI), its required reduction percentages, sampling at NUTS 2 or NUTS 3 level, and treatment of contributions from natural sources.
