An own-initiative report on a New EU Forest Strategy for 2030 and sustainable forest management in Europe. The amendments revise recitals around the EU's climate-neutrality target, the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement, the role of forests and forest-based industries as carbon sinks and biodiversity hosts, references to IPCC and IPBES reports, and biodiversity loss, zoonotic diseases and primary forests.
