Summary

This dossier concerns a monitoring framework for resilient European forests. Several amendments call to reject the Commission proposal or recast the directive as guidelines, while others rework recitals on forests, climate change, biodiversity and the forest-based bioeconomy, and revise the geo-referenced forest information sharing framework and national forest monitoring systems based on in situ and Earth Observation data.
