Statute for a European mutual society

An own-initiative report on a Statute for a European mutual society. The amendments stress that mutual societies embody the European social model, distinguish 'mutual benefit' and 'mutual insurance' societies, cite their role in health care, pensions and social protection and the lack of legal instruments for cross-border activity, and call for a European statute by analogy with the European Cooperative Statute and proposed European Foundation Statute.
