Summary
Own-initiative report on FinTech and the influence of technology on the future of the financial sector. The amendments define FinTech as finance enabled by new technologies across the financial sector and address distributed ledger technology (DLT), virtual currencies, Big Data, cloud computing, robo-advice and crowdfunding, the role of start-ups and tech-giants, regulation and supervision, financial stability, consumer protection, financial and digital literacy, and the preservation of cash.
