Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): SEEKATZ Ralf (EPP)
Summary

The dossier concerns the Banking Union annual report 2024. The amendments revise recitals on the Banking Union's pillars, the Single Supervisory Mechanism, Single Resolution Mechanism and the missing European Deposit Insurance Scheme, avoiding taxpayer-funded bank bailouts and breaking the bank-sovereign 'doom loop', implementation of Basel III, completing the crisis management and deposit insurance framework, and the profitability gap between EU and US banks.

11 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
