Conservation of fisheries resources through technical measures: transitional technical measures from 1 January 2010 to 30 June 2011

This dossier concerns conservation of fisheries resources through transitional technical measures. The amendments address adoption of rules by the Council and Regional Advisory Councils, minimum landing sizes and undersized fish, mesh sizes and combinations of nets, gillnet and trammel-net specifications and immersion times, closed areas and periods to protect marine resources and breeding grounds, prohibition of explosives and poisons, real-time conservation measures by the Commission, and application to imported products.
